I’ve got amazing news for our 15th anniversary!
Yes, on June 30 we reach the 15 year mark of the Gary Sinise Foundation. Thanks to a generous gift from the McBunch family, every dollar donated will be matched up to $250,000 for our Day of Giving in celebration of our 15th anniversary.
That means your gift will go twice as far to support the men and women who have sacrificed so much for our country — our severely wounded veterans, first responders, families of the fallen, and all the heroes we serve every day at the Gary Sinise Foundation.
And as our nation approaches its 250th birthday, that number of $250,000 feels even more special. $1,000 for every year in our great country's history.
This week, I’ll be sharing a few of the incredible stories from our mission that you’ve made possible, starting with a deeply moving story about serving our Fathers of Fallen Heroes. You can read it below.
We hope you’ll join us in making a difference with this special GSF anniversary contribution. Thank you for being part of this important mission.
Your pal,

You Will Support These Heroes
Every dollar will support those suffering from the invisible wounds of their service, our brave first responders who rush into danger, the families of fallen heroes grieving their lost loved ones, wounded heroes who suffered severe injuries defending our nation, and many more.
Note: Your donation will be applied to our general fund.

All this week, we'll be sharing stories from our outreach.

REMEMBERING THE FATHERS OF FALLEN HEROES
Their Children Made The Ultimate Sacrifice
When a hero is lost in service to our country, that family is forever changed. The complexity of a parent's grief is hard to put into words.
Often, fathers assume the role of protector, becoming a pillar of strength and prioritizing the needs of their family over their own. Many times these men are left to carry their grief alone. One father told us, "I worry more about my wife and daughter as we go through this grief journey."

Standing Together in Their Grief
Thanks to you, we welcomed 13 fathers of fallen heroes to Nashville for a three-day retreat to share their stories and honor their hero.
They watched a Predators hockey game wearing custom jerseys printed with their child's name, toured the Country Music Hall of Fame, were honored under the floodlights of the Grand Ole Opry to a round of applause, and so much more..

No One Should Grieve Alone
These unforgettable moments of healing felt extra special to these fathers who often feel forgotten.
"Being able to meet with others that are walking the same dark valley, in the same shoes, was very healing for me."
